I will be teaching Creative Writing Through Reading at the School of Continuing Studies at the University of Toronto on Tuesday nights in the fall term, 2011, and again in the winter term of 2012. This course considers approaches to style by examining techniques used in great works of literature — description, dialogue, character, transitions, image patterns, rhythm and sound — and incorporating them into your own writing.

In the fall the course will run on Tuesday nights from 7:00PM – 9:00PM 20 Sep 2011 to 22 Nov 2011. In the winter it will run  on Tuesday afternoons from 12:30PM – 3:00PM,10 Apr 2012 to 29 May 2012
